Normandy24 is an unforgettable experience for men to visit the D-Day Landing Beaches in France. Steve takes groups of guys from churches he works with, together with their friends, on a 24 hour whistle stop tour of the WWII battle sites that changed the course of history in 1944. Groups depart from Portsmouth on the night ferry to Caen arriving in Normandy early the following morning. There's several hours at some of the iconic locations such as Pegasus Bridge, Omaha Beach and the Mulberry Harbour at Arromanches. Finally a leisurely evening ferry crossing back to Portsmouth arriving 24 hours after departure. Steve's inside knowledge of the D-Day story provides a dynamic context for Normandy24. Guys get the opportunity to consider the enormous themes of sacrifice, freedom, courage and liberation as they walk in the footsteps of heroes.
It also creates some poignant opportunities to introduce guys to the liberating power of the Gospel, the spiritual battle that Jesus won at the cross and the freedom that comes when we choose to follow him.
